Choose for your actual space and fuel source

The Best Heat Source Depends on How You Use It.

A fire pit creates a central gathering point. A patio heater directs warmth toward people. The right choice must also fit your surface, overhead clearance, ventilation, fuel availability and local rules.

1

Choose gathering heat or directional heat

Fire pits work best as a center point. Standing heaters are better when you need heat beside seating or dining zones.

2

Choose the fuel before the style

Propane is flexible, natural gas is fixed, wood requires fuel storage and smoke management, and electric products require the correct rated connection.

3

Verify clearances and the supporting surface

Never estimate safety distances. Follow the exact manual for overhead, side, combustible-surface and ventilation requirements.

Plan the product, fuel and placement together

Warmth Is Simple When the Setup Is Right.

Fire features are not interchangeable. Summit can help coordinate delivery and assembly around the exact model, while licensed trades handle any regulated fuel-line or electrical work required at the property.

Product review: fuel, BTU output, dimensions, included cover and assembly requirements.
Placement review: level surface, access path, overhead conditions and manufacturer clearances.
Fuel planning: portable tank, fixed natural-gas line, electricity or wood storage identified before use.
Scope clarity: delivery, assembly and any separate licensed-trade work distinguished in writing.

Common fire-feature questions

Before You Order

Always follow the selected product manual, fuel-provider requirements, applicable codes, burn restrictions and local fire rules.

Exactly which products can appear on this page?
A product can appear only when its title contains “fire pit,” “firepit,” “fire-pit,” “heater” or “heaters.” Collection membership, tags and description wording cannot make an unrelated product appear. Accessory-only titles such as fire-pit covers, heater covers, replacement burners and similar parts are excluded.
Will new fire pits and heaters appear automatically?
Yes. The grid reads the live Shopify storefront each time the page loads. A newly published product appears automatically only when its title matches the strict fire-pit-or-heater rule; unpublished products disappear automatically.
What is the difference between propane and natural gas?
Propane products normally connect to a refillable tank and can be easier to reposition. Natural-gas products normally connect to a fixed gas supply and should be installed or connected only as allowed by the manufacturer and applicable code, typically using a qualified professional.
Can I use a patio heater or fire pit under a covered patio?
Do not assume that you can. The answer depends on the exact product, fuel, ventilation and required overhead and side clearances. Follow the product manual and local rules. Never place a fuel-burning product in an enclosed space or anywhere the manufacturer prohibits.
Is delivery and assembly included in every displayed price?
Service depends on the selected product, address, access and written offer. Gas-line work, electrical work, permits, fuel, surface preparation and unusual placement are separate unless explicitly included in writing.
What does BTU tell me?
BTU is a measure of heat output, but a larger number does not guarantee that every person will feel warmer. Wind, product design, distance, reflector shape and whether heat rises or radiates toward seating all affect real-world comfort.
